When drilling equipment for water well – both well drill and water well drilling tools - are designed, built, and supported as one, the end result is a complimentary system making the driller’s job efficient and the owner's profits escalate.
Geoprobe® well drill engineers work at arm's length from our water well drilling tools engineers, sharing office and shop space — intentionally. The development of Geoprobe® well drills and drilling equipment for water well is refined to the highest level by the presence of both. This synergy benefits you — the end user.
"It takes both a well drill and water well drilling tools to make a hole. We can offer a better system and react to driller feedback on both sides of the system. Our engineers research the need for a specific tool or well drill feature, then through ongoing testing and development — by our team and yours — we continually make improvements," Mike Carlin, tools engineering manager, said. "When you purchase products from Geoprobe® you aren’t just buying water well drilling tools or a well drill. You’re investing in continued innovation, enabling stronger, easier, more versatile tools and drill rigs for the future."
Our engineers leveraged their own well drill experience along with years of developing tooling systems for the environmental and geotechnical market to design water well drilling tools suited to make your well drill efficient and safe.
Our team of tooling engineers thrives on collaborating with drillers while they continually innovate new drilling equipment for water well. Our goal is to help maximize success with your well drilling tools by making your job faster, safer, and easier. Partner with us and we'll work to decrease your well drill time while increasing your family time.
An assortment of drilling equipment for water well is designed and manufactured in-house to achieve reliable and consistent results. We invest in state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to produce durable drilling equipment for water well with same-day shipping available on most parts.
Higher-grade material for the mid-body strengthens drill pipes for increased durability. Engineers also added a stress-relief groove where pin end meets body of drill pipes for additional durabilty. The radius spreads the load on the drill pipes to increase fatigue life of pipe. Higher hardness tool joints also facilitate longer wear life. Several drill pipes are lighter weight than legacy versions for less weight and wear on the rig.
Utilizing 20-foot drill pipe with a standard hoist plug results in the pipe leaning and binding threads, requiring the operator to manage the winch tension. The spring assisted swivel hoist plug supports the weight of a drill rod, providing the correct winch line tension when threading tool joints, ultimately leading to a faster, easier, safer job. Vent holes in the spring assisted swivel hoist plug allow the drill string to drain fluid down hole as rods are removed versus spraying out of the tool joint when unthreading, which results in a tidier job site.

It takes the effort out of what the driller and helper have to do, making job easier and better. Anytime you buy a tool that makes life a little easier, it’s a good value. Just makes work not so much work.
