Since there are no Teflon® components within the Mechanical Syringe Pump system, the MSP is preferred when sampling for PFAS compounds. With fewer wear components to break during a log, the Mechanical Syringe Pump is also often preferred when samples taken in a borehole exceeds five.
When operating the mechanical syringe or bladder pump, Geoprobe® recommends using the mechanical actuator (MN 214106) for sample collection.
