Optical Imaging Hydraulic Profiling Tool (OiHPT)

Groundwater Screen Point Latching Sampler

This demonstration introduces valuable enhancements to the time-tested Geoprobe® SP groundwater sampling system. The latching sampler allows the user to connect a pump or other sample line directly to the top of the downhole SP sampler. This isolates the SP sampler (SP16 or NEW SP19) from water in the rod string above the sampler, thereby assuring sample integrity. Features you will see:

  • Running in a pump on tubing and “latching in” to the downhole SP16 sampler.
  • Operating an electric actuator to pump groundwater samples from the isolated SP screen.
