Direct Image® tools vertically log in-situ soil characteristics such as lithology, electrical conductivity, permeability, porosity, and water content.  The tools can calculate static water level, pore size distribution and estimate hydraulic conductivity. Specific probe sensors are able to measure VOC petroleum and solvent contaminant content, NAPL petroleum hydrocarbon fluorescence, or various other geotechnical parameters.

Direct Image logs are generated from sensors built into direct push probes. The sensor data is collected and displayed in real time as the tool is advanced into the subsurface. The logs may then be combined to create accurate, highly detailed conceptual site models…the critical first step in any site investigation. Our Direct Image® systems include MIPOIPHPT, NMR, CPT, and PST.

These soil probe sampler tools provide the operator and client with real-time logging, which allows for more efficient decision making, resulting in one mobilization for site investigation rather than multiple.
