Gain Hands-on Experience with a Geoprobe® Internship

Do you enjoy experiencing a variety of tasks, spending time outdoors, and learning new hands-on skills? Are you eager to implement what you've learned in the classroom developing real-life business solutions? Through our extensive in-house production, you can explore various connections between engineering and manufacturing. You’ll experience high company investment in your personal development and independent responsibilities.

  • Take a project from design, to build, to testing.
  • Work alongside experienced mentors actively providing guidance.
  • Apply classroom knowledge while enhancing personal skills for your future career.

Pre-Engineering Internship: Freshmen and Sophomores in College

You aren’t satisfied sitting behind a desk discussing designs. You’re ready to get dirty in the shop enhancing your hands-on skills. You’ll work alongside fabrication, assembly, machine shop, and service personnel to design, build, test, and repair machines and tools trusted by customers for their reliability, durability, and serviceability. Even if you haven’t spent much time in a college classroom, but have spent time on the farm or working with machinery, then you’ll be prepared to:

  • Learn shop and manufacturing processes, invaluable for future engineers.
  • Gain knowledge on hydraulic systems, machining, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Understand production team’s expectation of necessary components on drawings and schematics.
  • Improve hands-on skills to accomplish more in less time.

Engineering Internship: Juniors in College

Already have hands-on shop experience or spent time working on equipment? Work alongside machine and tool engineers designing components, producing working prototypes, and establishing feasibility studies. While you’ll use engineering programs like Solidworks, you’ll spend as much time out in the field testing new designs or in the machine or fabrication shops.

“It is incredibly helpful to get the hands-on experience because it helps with learning how to effectively design something for production or manufacturing.” – Jordan Norman, tooling design intern
