Access to quality service for any make or model through Geoprobe® service center brings peace of mind for hydrostat pump repair on BR2500..
Bobby Cannon runs a lean operation — just him, his two sons, and one rig. Their Buck Rogers 2500 stays busy across Central Florida, drilling for preconstruction and sinkhole investigations. A year into business, downtime isn't an option for Cannon Field Services.
So when a persistent hydraulic leak threatened to sideline the rig, Cannon needed help fast.
"There aren't a lot of people around here willing to mess with our rig," he said.
Cannon had heard about the Geoprobe® Southeast Service Center (SESC) in Ocala through family. His cousin and brother work for Affordable Well Drilling, a longtime SESC customer.
He called Robert Stewart, SESC shop lead, and got good news: Stewart had run a Buck Rogers at a previous job and knew the machine.
"The BR-2500 uses the same hydrostat pump as legacy DM250s," Stewart said. "We were able to get Bobby a quote pretty quickly."
Cannon scheduled a week for the repair. The rig was ready in four days.
The SESC team pulled the hydrostat pump apart and replaced the worn components. When Cannon picked up the rig, Stewart made one thing clear: if anything went wrong, bring it back — Geoprobe® service stands behind their work.
"The rig has run great since we got it back," Cannon said. "No problems. They did us right."
For a small company where every day counts, knowing a capable service center is just over an hour away makes all the difference.
"It's nice to know the SESC is there in case we need any major repairs again," Cannon said.
