Elevating fleet performance made possible by team of expert technicians for drill machine repairing who understand the urgency of drill rigs being down.
Since 1992, Mobile Environmental Analytical Inc. (MEA Inc.) has focused on providing a wide range of environmental services to the state of Pennsylvania — often related to above ground and underground storage tanks.
“We specialize in site assessments, groundwater and soil characterization, and remediation — mainly at retail petroleum facilities and for residential clients,” William Kasebier, field operations manager, said. “We own and operate our own Geoprobe® drill rigs, vacuum excavators, mobile remediation systems, as well as have our own certified in-house lab.”
MEA Inc. has operated Geoprobe® rigs for years, including track-mounted legacy machines and 66 series rigs. Their current fleet consists of three 7822DT rigs, all bought between 2012 and 2025. The last couple of years, the Geoprobe® East Coast Service Center (ECSC) has been their go-to source for service.
“We’ve been using them for service, for regular maintenance, and any repairs we’ve needed,” Kasebier said.
During the first half of 2026, all three 7822DTs were sent to the ECSC for a number of reasons, including:
Kasebier appreciates the ECSC team’s urgency when it came to solving problems.
“The most recent issue was when we were out in the field and had the gearbox fail on us. Dave Harrison [ECSC service lead] tried to troubleshoot over the phone, but then recommended we come in and get it replaced,” Kasebier said. “He had the part ordered the day we talked to him, and we had the rig back and operating in 48 hours.”
Other mechanic shops MEA Inc. visited were frustrating, due to slow turnaround time and difficult communication. With the ECSC, Kasebier has:
• Customer-Centered Approach: “They’re quick to take care of any repairs necessary to get us back in the field and operating. They know we rely on these rigs to perform our work in a timely manner to best serve our clients. They even have made trips to service and repair our rigs at our facility to better serve our needs.”
• Team of Expert Technicians: “They’re a very knowledgeable and professional crew that’s great to work with."
“We will be continuing to utilize them for all our services and repairs,” Kasebier said.
