Tubing Adds Strength
The 1.5 in. probe rod series by GeoprobeŽ Systems was designed to be the
primary probe rod for the Macro-CoreŽ Soil Sampling System, the SP16 Groundwater
Sampling System, and various logging tasks with 6600 series machines.
The 1.5 in. rods utilize a heavy-wall tubing for maximum strength in the
threaded areas. A rounded thread pattern makes up in less than two
turns, and an O-ring groove allows for sealing of the
rods during probing
operations.
