From the layout of the engine compartment, to the “behind-the-scenes” electronic diagnostic systems, significant effort was invested in the 8040DT machine to make the unit easy to operate, service, and maintain. It’s the solution for balancing a high quality machine and low cost bore holes. The 8040DT is powered by a 4-cylinder, 120 hp, liquid-cooled CAT® turbo diesel engine. The heavy-duty undercarriage has a wider track that carries more weight, handles additional tooling, adds more torque, and reduces ground pressure. |

The 8040DT incorporates a five-function CB8 Combo Head with side-shifting capabilities for efficient movement between operations. The five functions of the combo head include: Standard Penetration Testing using the Automatic Drop Hammer, Direct Push applications using the GH80 Hammer, using the Hydraulic Rod, and working through the ID of casings or augers. Classic auger/drilling methods take advantage of the high-torque rotation. The combo head travels 26 inches side-to-side. |

Geoprobe® machine and tooling engineers worked together closely to make sure the 'fit' between the 8040DT machine and tooling would meet Geoprobe® standards for performance, durability, and strength. Matching the tooling with machine capabilities proves a tremendous benefit in the field for you. |

Hydraulic Single Rod Foot Lamp This will soon become a 'must have' item for your crew. 14,500 lb. (64.5 kN) clamp force keeps casing or rods from sliding downhole during pullback. Holds rod string so top rod can be tightened/loosened, or holds an inner rod while resetting the head clamp. Self-centering over tool string with replaceable hardened jaw pads. Quickly attaches to the foot of the machine. Connects to an auxiliary hydraulic outlet and is operated through the control panel. Holds casing or rods ranging in size from 1.6- to 6.0-in. (38 to 152 mm) diameter. 170 lb. (77 kg) overall weight. |

Moyno® 3L6 positive displacement pump The 3L6 Moyno® Pump easily attaches to the 8040DT via the machine's common rail frame, and is hydraulically powered through an auxiliary hydraulic outlet and operated via the control panel. The pump kit also includes a fold-out work table. |

The adjustable operator control panel is mounted on a swing arm enabling quick and easy movement to the optimum operating position. An integral electronic diagnostic system works to safeguard the unit and help the operator quickly diagnose problems in the field.

Large diameter soil cores can be split onsite for visual inspection, be sent in for laboratory analysis, or be kept for further possible analyses. |

An optional automatic drop hammer and hydraulic highspeed coring head can be installed/removed in under ten minutes. |
