We
doubt you'll hear any of these cuts on MTV, but the sights and sounds
on a CD released by the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection
are sure to be a hit in the environmental industry. "Expedited Site
Assessment: The CD" could be on its way to No. 1! Tune in to hear
a GeoprobeŽ GH40 Hammer advancing a Macro-CoreŽ sampler tool string with
a GeoprobeŽ Model 5400 purring in the background ... it's all on the CD!
ESA: The CD provides technical guidance on conducting three-dimensional investigations at underground storage tank (UST) sites using direct push tools and field screening methods. The CD was developed by Dr. Gary A. Robbins, Prof. of Hydrogeology, at the Univ. of CT, the LUST Program group at the CT EPA, and the CT Department of Public Works.
Recently, Gary and Rick Brainerd, Hydrogeology Graduate Student, captured more sights and sounds at Probe Central for another CD in the development stage, "Ground Water Interactive Tutorial and Reference on CD-ROM." Gary says the release date is Spring 2003. More information about the Ground Water CD is available from Ram's Horn Educational LLC, at www.ramshorneducational.com or 860-690-4548.
ESA: The CD is available for purchase from www.esacd.uconn.edu.
Team Geoprobe® is proud to be one of several industry leaders selected to contribute technology for the CD projects.
