MIP Qualifications:
GEOSAN has been performing MIP Services since 2004. Geosan has completed several MIP projects dealing with aromatic, chlorinated VOCs and co-mingled plumes for government agencies, industrial corporations and major chemical companies.
Method of MIP Deployment:
Static and percussion with Geoprobe® 6610DT or 6620DT. Geosan provides a MIP service deployment through our own equipment and employees. We do not subcontract any services.
Special Capabilities:
Membrane Interface Probe / Conductivity (MIP/EC). We can also collect soil, gas, and groundwater samples using out Geoprobe® equipment such as dual tubing sampling system or screen point groundwater samplers.

Our current MIP system is configured to use PID, FID and DELCD as pass through detectors. All of our fieldwork is performed in conjunction with our own Geoprobe® machine operators and MIP service specialists.
The MIP is a very powerful tool that can be cost effectively used to characterize a site horizontally and vertically. The subsurface logging can be used to screen large areas in order to select discrete intervals for soil and groundwater sample collection.
